Shane fall short in tight affair at Xinzhuang

Despite a late goal from Clyde, we resumed the season with a tight loss at the hands of B53.

B53 raced into the lead after a long ball held up amid the windy conditions for their winger to nip in and slot home.

We grew into the game and Lukas hit the bar on the stroke of half time, before our momentum was halted by a nasty collision between Alex and the opposing keeper.

The second half was another close-fought affair, with keeper Adam making some excellent point-blank saves to keep us in it.

However, it took a moment of fortune for the B53's to double their lead through a free-kick.

Heads didn't drop though and we kept pressing, with Smittie and Jamie going close.

We eventually pulled one back after Big Sam slotted Clyde through for him to bag a debut goal with a tidy finish.

We couldn't find that elusive equaliser though and the game ended in defeat.

We can feel really unlucky to come away with nothing here, and the lad's left everything on the pitch. We go again against Red Lions on 17/9!
