Zach hat-trick puts Triangle to the sword

Zach Paruch rolled back the years with a clinical hat-trick as Shane clinched a 5-0 victory over Triangle.

Shane started brightly and controlled play for the first 10 minutes with some tidy passing on a difficult pitch. We took a deserved lead when Jayke Langley played a through ball to Zach who grabbed his first goal of the day with a good finish past the oncoming keeper.

Despite taking the lead, Shane lost some momentum and struggled to get going again, spending large parts of the first half on the back foot. Goalkeeper Adam Lupinski made some brave saves at the feet of the Triangle attackers to maintain the lead.

After regrouping at half-time, Shane came out looking sharper. The intensity from the opening stages of the game was back and the lead was doubled when Patrick Swandell teed up debutant Big Sam to slot home from a tight angle.

Zach put the game beyond any doubt shortly afterwards after controlling a loose ball in the box and calmly finishing with his left foot to get his second of the day.

Livewire Blake Pattenden then went down in the box giving Zach a chance to complete his hat-trick, which he did with a confidently dispatched penalty.

Blake himself then joined in on the action after latching onto a long pass from CB Danny Miller, before rounding the keeper and adding a fifth to the score-line.

MOTM goes to hat-trick hero Zach. He took his chances with great composure and sealed the win with his goals in the second half. Special mentions to Paul Wright and Jayke Langley who were excellent in the centre of the park, and also the trusty partnership of Dan Engel and Danny Miller at the back.
